I think everyone should take a look at this.

Kinda scary but that can happen with any car that has a fuel tank mounted behind the rear axle.

Seriously though, that can happen in any rear gas tank mounted car

same thing goes for 80% of passenger cars with a similar setup.....they are still alot safer than they used to be

The doors jam shut

I understand all rear mounted tanks are at risk, but they have been doing that since 1979 on our chassis. You think Ford would fix it once it was determined a danger. The tank leaks 1 gallon or more after impact.

Additionally the doors jam shut at a 35mph impact.

ahh...it must be spring time...the 'exploding Mustang BON article" has resurfaced yet again ...


cars can be dangerous, some more than others...but the Mustang is consistantly the 'Top of it's Class' in government crash testing...
