I got it handled (I hope!) Got a pk of heli-coils (10) and a tap thru a local bolt supply and was under $20....much more bearable....lol

OK, well its been a few weeks since the heli-coil fix and now the ignition is back to doing the same thing. After starting and driving a ways it starts cutting out, have to basically wiggle the key, and turn to off and on again to get a good connection. Anyone else ever had these kind of issues with the ignition?? Wish I could just yank the whole thing and put something more reliable in.

Did you replace the ignition switch.

Yup, and this makes the third time, before the pot metal clasps on switch would eventually vibrate loose....
