Well I couldnt stand it anymore. I installed a Tri-Ax today, i couldnt stand waiting for the rain to stop around here so the mod bug hit before I could take it to the track bone stock. It took me a little over an hour...the front bolts on the shifter are a bitch to tighten down with the transmission tunnel hanging over, but they finally went in like the bitches they are!

well its only a shifter, its not like your doing the whole HCI before you go to the track. If your that worried about it the shifter take like 20 minutes to swap. Just swap them out at the track and you have an instant comparison.

The hardest part for me was getting that rubber piece back on the shifter... The bolts went in and out very easily.

oh yea. The Pro 5.0 is better

My first mod-on the way home from the dealership I stopped in at Steeda for gears. While I was there bought pullies, shifter and K&N. Had mods on before the wife even saw it.

Flyby, how did you like the overall feel of the tri-ax? I'm picking up one for $100 next week. Theres only 2 brands when it comes to shifters and thats Pro 5.0 and Steeda and no one can tell you which is better. I guess any improvement is better over stock. Good luck on the modding, lol. I got my car a little over a month ago and I already scraped my couches to fund for a crap load of mods. I'm even buying mods with money i don't even have yet, but thats how it has to be, lol.

Im not really too concerned about track times, its really not a big deal, I know just a shifter isnt going to do much if anything. THe shifter is defiantely different than the stock one, much shorter throw, very notchy if you ask me. I would definately recommend it though

Im to smart for that . Plus the last thing stangnet needs is another pro 5.0 VS Tri Ax debate.

My first mod was U/D pullies. Then a Steeda Tri Ax, then the Full exhuast, then the 94/95 cobra intake and the rims. Various other things here and there like Kirban FPR and Steeda FPG, then came the Supercharger this past spring and the last mod ive done was this past July and it was my 3.55 gears. Kind of Ironic that one of the most common first mods done is what Ive done later on even after the supercharger but thats just how it went.
