This is my first post ever and want to share with all of you my experiences (so far) with my 05 black, gt mustang (5 speed, deleted spoiler). I read many of your postings over the past months and really appreciated the many years of Mustang experience on this site.

I ordered it October 7 and received it November 18. This is my first mustang as well! Many of my friends have owned Mustangs over the years and like all Mustangs! I was eager to get a 03/04 Mach 1 but waited after seeing the Mustang at the International Car Show in Detroit. It was worth the wait!!

The performance is excellent!! I got the red leather interior with the interior upgrades. The MyColor package is loved by my wife and kids and I would highly recommend it. FORD has really done a nice job with this car and I can't wait to get home from work to take it for a quick spin around town. FORD's design team did an excellent job with the car and many of my friends see a little of the classic mustang as they walk around the car. The leather seats feel great and the Shaker 500 sounds awesome!! The wheels will have to go...maybe next year for the 18" wheels (this is my only real complaint with the car).

My son is 15 and he rode with me from the dealer the night I picked it up! I think he will never forget that moment (either will I). I now understand what it means to own a mustang!!

You made the right choice, mach 1 is a great car also but yours is an instant classic. Why buy the mach when you get a car that has been improved upon so much, horsepower aside

Instant classic?????
Dude get a GRIP!
Next year there will be about 50,000 of these cars EVERYWHERE!
How many Machs will you see??
Now tell me which car is the classic
You do realize your talking about a "GT" ...VS A MACH!

No comparison
We all been thru this many times before....

Please. No new car is an "instant classic". Even the 03/04 Mach. The 05 has "the look" of a classic. Thats why is so very popular among longtime Mustang owners.
Some late model Mustang owners need to get real.
I have a "rare" car, but have no dillusions that it will be a classic.

Great combo, black with red interior upgrade. I plan to get one just like it, but will wait until after the coming winter. I agree with the spoiler delete: IMO not only looks better without the spoiler, but you can get a bike rack on the deck lid w/o clearance issues. Re instant classic, term is overused anyhow - I'm of the opinion that my 65 k code is not even a 'classic' after all, a true 'classic' is one of several makes autos built during the classic era of late 20's and 30's - accepted by the CCCA. Everything else is just 'special interest', 'collector', or hype.

How about posting some pics? I'm also thinking about deleting the spoiler and would like to see what a black GT looks like without it.

i own a 66 and that is the highest production year for the mustang and look at how much people pay for rusted out shells and what you pay for a halfway solid shell it`s funny that mach271 and make a comment like he did but in 30 or 40 yrs how many 05 will have make it through dont you think history will repeat itself beside they dont make em like they used to

Def. not, it will take at least 1 1/2 years esp since they just came out. Everyone was saying this 6 months ago and look, there out but youre lucky if you have seen ONE on the street. It will happen but it will take time. My guess is by this time next year they will have become so abundant that it will not surprise me to see one. But they've been out for a while though and i'm yet to see one on the street...

Jesus, I think you got the same car as me! I didnt think anyone else would get the gay red interior and then delete the spoiler too. Did your wife make you get the red interior? Mine did. The only diference I can see now is if you got the upgraded rims. Mine has the basic 17's.
