This is my first oil change, what does it typically need just the full 6 quarts? 04gt

My 02 GT takes 6 full quarts and that's all I put in.

you probaby have some metal shards since the motor has been breaking in. so it wouldn't hurt to change the oil around 12-1500 miles with the normal motorcraft 5w-20.. Once you hit 5-10,000 miles I would switch to full synthetic if you care a lot about ur car.

hmm.. i first changed mine when it hit 1000 exactly. I put in 5.5 quarts and it still look pretty low. So, I pure the whole 6 qts in there. No problem

planning on switching to full synthetic once it hit 9000
