Well I just spent close to $500.00 for an estimated 20-30 more horses. I ordered the underdrive pulley kit and the steeda cold air kit. I ordered the parts from sean hyland motorsports. The only add I have done is the SLPloudmouths. I will be taking my stock stang to the dyno Thurs or Fri to see what it puts out bare boned. I should get the new parts next week sometime.I'm not sure where I'll take the car to get the mods put on. I know I gotta get a reflash done after the cold air is put on so I guess I will call around to see who can do both for me. I have attached the link if anyone else is intrested in parts.

You might want to check out JMS chip.

http://www.jmschip.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=332

This kit has the CAI, under-drive pullies and the tuner for $649!

I have basically the same kit, and with the JMS 87 octane tune got 288 RWHP.

Be sure to post your dyno numbers!

The price of these parts are pretty much the going price everywhere aren't they ? I hope I am not getting ripped off. I am not in a position to throw some cash down for a supercharger yet. I 'd like to get my hands on one of those 5 liter cammer engines. That is a beauty. I'll check out the JMS chip site. I may do the chip in a couple months.

20-30 horsepower, yeah right!. I'll believe it when I see it. Man you know how it is. Add an intake, get 20 horsepower, add an air filter, get 5, and a coupler bearing shaft, get 10 more. Hell, you'll be lucky to get 10 more h.p. IMO.

Sorry, but I think you just wasted $500.

The keyword in my post is ESTIMATED it could be about 20-30hp it could be lower who knows. Part of the enjoyment of owning a muscle car is adding mods to see what will happen. If I wasted some of my money that remains to be seen. I'm sure it won't be the last time and it won't be the first.

No money will be wasted my friend but if you put a cai on your car you WILL need a tune. Those things that you mentioned coupled with the tune will easily add 30hp at the wheels.

Obviously you don't read to many threads, I haven't seen any post with less than 20whp. The hydro carbon trap is 4 alone, and the tune itself is worth close to 10. Not trying to flame you, just ask around.

I got my order last night. The thing is now I am wondering if I should even put these parts on. I have taken an intrest in buying a 2006 Shelby. I talked to the manager at a dealership and he gave me some pretty good options on the GT500. I will be locked in at the MFRP. The negative is my payments will go up a little bit and the insurance is gonna take a step up too. So I got a few things on my plate. I will make a decision in the next couple of weeks. That Shelby is a gorgeous car and the power is to good to pass up for the price I was estimated to get.

You never mentioned buying a flash tuner (Predator / SCT)? Did you? They will need to have one in order to tune the car. By the way... why do some insist on pissing on everyones parade? Is it due to the fact that they cannot afford what the others are getting? Or perhaps just because that is the kind of person they are. I think you will be very happy with the increases you WILL get and that is not only on the power side but on the fuel economy side as well. I saw a dramatic increase in MPG's once I installed the JLT intake and the stock SCT tune. Taking it to the Dyno on Friday for a custom tune. Good luck!
