Went to Mason Dixon Dragway in Boonsboro, MD(just outside Hagerstown).
With my mods and seeing what others were running on StangNet, I was hoping to see some 13.30s...I got'em and VERY consistant as well!!! 4 runs and they averaged 13.364 @ 104.06. My best was 13.345 and 104.34. The 60' times were close as well(all 4 runs at 33 psi with factory 18s). That average was 2.042 with a best of 2.032. In the 1/8 mile my averages were 8.613 and 82.62. My best there was 8.601 and 82.77. I want to try and keep my performance mods fairly simple and get into the 12s. I believe I could see that with a driveshaft replacement, UDPs and sticky tires.

Nice R/T for a newbie bracket run The AOD did its job from there and the mods earned you an excellent time.

PoopDawg - Just replay the video after it stops at the mid-point and it will cycle through his entire run.

Yeah-Yeah Poop. GM has created brain rot. Forgot that the inherently weaker 5R55S is not a true OD like the 4R70W.

Thanks gashog! I did notice I have some wheel spin. The track seemed good for my auto. I did launch the last 2 times with it brake torqued up near 2000RPM. It would grab 2nd gear everytime, then into 3rd and 4th the car would kick hard(SOTP feel was awesome).

One thing I forgot to metion during the original post was my RPMs as I crossed the 1/4 mile stripe. It was 5400 RPM. That was having my shift points set a 6800, 27.3" tire, and 4.10s. I never did any passes this go around with the limit set at 6100-6200 RPM. Next time I will switch it up as I will have some better 60' times as well both by lower PSI in the street tires and DRs. That should get me much closer to the 13.0 barrier

Why would I do it via PM? Then no one else can publicly agree with me.

And you're telling me a 5R55S is weaker then an AOD, correct? I really don't see many stock ones living being a 300 HP car very long.

Check your PM box PoopDawg. You have a love note from me and with it came two infraction points. Keep it up and you will earn a mini-vacation.

AOD is an accepted generalized automotive acronym for an automatic with overdrive you know it as do others. Now move on. As for my comment on the tranny - do the research and bring it to the table.

You can bag on my car all you want, but in this house you will abide by rules and one of those rules is "DO NOT CONFRONT STAFF IN OPEN FORUM". You just did that and therefore you earn the attention you are looking for.

Second house rule - don't insult or insight members. Fair warning and I say this right now - if you have contention with me bring it to PM and the mods of record. Keep it up and I will show you to the door.

Am I clear?

Clear? Not at all. But I best not state my case in an open forum or else, right? But it is perfectly OK for you to state your case THEN say I better not state mine. Seems fair to me! I sent you a PM

Thanks! I did have 2 red lights as well. Reaction time is pretty easy to do in the automatic. I use my left foot on the brake and the right is on the gas and as soon as I see the last amber bulb light I gun it.

Very nice times! My track is only 1000' long rather than a 1/4 mile and my best so far is 11.21, I see your 1000' time was 11.17. Those numbers seem spot on. At the time, my only mods were CAI and tune, O/R H, Stingers, and lowering springs (I know, they don't help).

Get that 60' down to a 1.8 or so and you could very well see 13.0-1ish!

ScottM,
Do you drive a manual? If so I was wondering at what rpm you try and launch. I am thinking of going to the track for the very first time and am clueless as to how to get the best launch.
