Current car: 1984 GT
--------------------------
Engine: 460- dynoed at 628 hp
Cooling: Meziere electric pump with electric fans
Ignition/Fuel: MSD w/ Holley 1000 plus
Trans: Peformance Auto C4 (one with lifetime warranty)
Rear: 8.8 w/ full spool, 3.89 gears, 33 spline axles
Tires/wheels: 28x10.5s on Bogarts
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
More Info: I built this car two years ago. I bought the rolling chassis in Carlisle PA during the Ford meet. It already had all the ignition installed. I put the engine, trans, and rear in the car. It ran a best of 10.28 @ 131 at Mason Dixon dragway in Hagerstown MD. This car is completely gutted. Onc seat, roll cage, fuel cell, custom dash, painless switches, and lexan windows. I bought the D&D motorsports kit for the engine install. Please let me know if you need more information.
Plan: Since completion of this car I found I don't have time for a race car. I have decided to make a pro street car that I can enjoy more frequent. I've already purchased the new donor and am ready to tackle the job. The problem is I have questions- mainy electrical (fuel and fire).
New car: 1993 LX
----------------------
Engine: 5.0
Cooling: Stock
Ignition/Fuel: Stock EFI
Trans: AODE with only 1st and 2nd gears
Rear: Stock 8.8
Tires/Wheels: Stock pony wheeels
----------------------------------------------------
More Info: As you can tell above, this car is completely stock. I got a good deal as it needs a transmission. The body is about an 8.5 out of 10 with only 100K miles. I want this car to remain as much stock as possible. I want to use all of the factory guages, keep the power windows, use the factory switch to start the engine, and use the factory fuel tank (I realize I will need to modify for non EFI pump). I have done much reading online and am just confused about what stuff can and cant be used (sensors, harness, computer). Is the computer still needed (do the factory guages run through the computer)? I will be using an alternator. I will be using MSD ignition. I want the waterpump and electric fans to activate via temperature switch (not completely necessary but preferred).
About me: Please ask questions so I may provide you will all the necessary information for you to help. I am mechanically inclined but have never tackled the electronics part (as far as incorporating with factory Ford stuff). I however have hooked up MSDs before, installed mechanical guages, installed a procharcher, and I myself put the 460/C4 in my car with motor plates.
I just found this page that helps a BUNCH. Anything you can add will help.

I have also added pictures so maybe it will get your adrenaline pumping like it does mine. The engine is still in my 84 and the other is the 93.
