First time racer...any guesses???

Im going to the track to race for the first time at california speedway....any time guesses....ill post my times when I get back....I have...
C.A.I, flowmasters w/ dumps, catless x-pipe, pulleys, gear drive(no horsepower, just sounds cool) full coil overs, upper and lower controll arms, tubular a-arms, aluminum radiater-electric fan, and 3.73's and a 5-speed-steeda short shifter...I beter be in the 13's or Im gonna be pissssssed...

I'll guess 14.1-14.3 with good driving; 14.3+ if you're not getting out of the hole and you're shift points are too high.

well, I raced....very unhappy with results...maybe I need more practice, I kept spinning through 1st and 2nd..I was so nervous, but at least I beat an eclipse gst...
1st run- 15.304 @ 95.31mph
2nd run- 14.981 @ 95.56mph

You'll get better with practice. You want to get off the line with as little tire spin as possible (none if you can help it). Also, if you are running a pretty stock engine, keep the shift points down to around 5200 rpm.

That mph is about right for those times! What were your 60 ft's? That does actually sound right for the mods, maybe a hair slow but not by much, expect with some better driving to be in the 14's! And you wont be so nervous as you do it more and more
