Took her upto Atco Friday night - 03-07-09. It was my first time ever driving on DR's and I need to learn how to drive her all over again...

1st Run: - launched around 4k and dead hooked, then bogged. 1.989 60' - 8.51 @ 84.07mph 1/8th - 13.14 @ 106.49mph

2nd Run: - launched around 5k, she hooked very well and I missed 2nd... yes, I m i s s e d 2nd! still netted a 2 flat 60' and some where in the high 13's.. not sure I tossed the slip.

3rd Run: - launched around 5k again, she hooked pretty good, but I had more wheel spin this time. I was hesitent on the 1-2 shift or this run could of been A L O T better. 1.92 60' - 8.347 @ 84.25mph 1/8th - 12.97 @ 106mph

The third run was literally done as the track was closing. I think I was the 3rd to last set down the 1320. Three runs in almost 4 hrs... yeah Atco was just alittler busy Friday night.

Mods that might of mattered: C&L 'Street" CAI - Mac 'offroad' Prochamber - Borla Stingers - Tillman Speed Dyno Tune - Coast 1pc Alum DS - MT ET Streets 275/40R17 mounted on OEM 17" Split Spoke rims - CHE Adj. LCAs - CHE A-arm brace w/ Trq limiters

I'll post up the slips later today.

*It's a good thing I drove up on the GT500 wheels / tires, switched them for racing, and switched back.. because it was pouring on the way home. ...it's about an hour drive, each way, for us to get to Atco.

The Slips:

Would 100% humidity effect anything?

I swear, there has to be something about the weather or elevation in west Texas that makes my time slower. My best time was a 8.89 1/8 mile, and that was a damn near perfect run.

Both can kill your times.

I think my current mod list is alittle bigger then yours. When I was running nothing more then an intake, tune, and street tires I was putting down 8.7-8.8 1/8th mile times. ..that's about a 13.4 - 13.6 1/4 mile.

We normally have mineshaft air around here too though... and we're basically at Sea Level. The temp for the runs in this thread were run @ 100% humidity, about 50F, and what ever elevation Atco, NJ is at... think it's pretty close to sea level.

OK, let me get this straight...
You made it into the 12's with only the mods listed above?
Is that normal?

I have not yet run my 06 at the track, but my mods are not all that different than yours, so what do you realistically think mine would run?
Here is all I have done.
2006 GT, 373 gears, frpp stingers, C@L Intake with a bamatune 91 octane race tune (Diablo prediter handheld), gt500 tires and wheels (maybe some DR's if I find some by the time I go to the track). I have the automatic...btw Oh and I am in Iowa, so who knows what the air here does for me.
Pretty much that's it..
Thanks...Kevin

Nice. I've spent quite a bit of time up there between work and friends going to school up there.

I'm going to guess mid 13's with those mods. If you get some DR's it'll be lower.

I've seen similiar times with a few cars.

Mine has axle back, o/r x-pipe, 3.31's at the time, dr's, tune and ran the same exact times as his.

Thanks! I have the CHE Drop Brackets (anti Squat), CHE Adj. UCA, CHE HD UCA mount, and the BMR rear DS loop w/ tunnel brace waiting for me to get the time to install them. That, and alot more practice, should net me another tenth or two.

What the future brings will depends alot on the all important $$$ factor. I was planning on heading over to Tillman Speed this spring and going the FI route... Until Uncle Sam screwed me over and acouple tenates stiffed me for rent (among other things). ..so I had to settle on the just getting the DR's and Alum DS (from Tillman) until things start getting back to normal.
