Fix a flat can how does this work?

i just got a flat tire from a screw and wanted to know what that can does? does it actually fix a flat or just pump it up im guessing pump it up. anyone ever use this product before how does it work?

It seals the inside of the tire by being spread out by centrifugal force. So as soon as you put it in you want to drive around for awhile.

I would only recommend it IF you cannot dismount a tire, or afford to have someone do it, to have the hole patched correctly...

its that gooey crap that plugs small holes, like from screws.. it just piles up behind the hole because tis trying to escape with the air but kind of hardens while in the puncture....

fix-a flat is a can that you spray in your tire through your valve stem, and it coats the inside and seals it up.

you might be thinking of tire plugs (which work wonders) where you remove the screw from the tire, widen the hole, then insert the glue soaked plug and snip the excess

Fix a flat is good in an emergency, but don't use it if you don't have to. It can/will throw your tire off balance.

Don't use it! It makes an aweful mess when you go to change the tire. Leave the screw in it and have to hole plugged by a shop that knows how to plug the hole.

Use it for payback. If someone pisses ya off, get ya abotu 8 cans of that stuff, and put 2 in each of his tires. At night so it has time to settle at the bottom. Next morning, the victim gets up, starts to leave, and can't figure out why cars riding like **** (tires out of balance.)

Others said it - it's a temporary fix to be used only in an emergency. Get the flat fixed properly, or get a new tire if it can't be repaired. Use the fix a flat only if you absolutely have to.

Get a tire plug kit, they cost around $4. Then take the wheel off and find the screw, pull it out and then follow the directions in the kit. It won't mess up your tire like the fix a flat will.
