I work at a dealership and my partner got a customer who had an 05 Gt with 400 miles and a serious vibration when lugged down at 6-7 mph. It was bad enough the car would shake vilently.
I was close so I rode with him most of the time trying to track the source. Definately a drivetrain vibration but that was the only thing we were certain of. He had the trans out for a new clutch, driveshaft, and I pulled the diff. cover to check the rear...which was perfect to specs. Still a serious vibration persisted.
We used a Vibration frequency reader and couldn't get any dead set readings.
Those who haven't looked under an 05, they use a very unique driveshaft compared to any previous mustangs. It has 1 u-joint, 2 CV's, and a carrier bearing.
He talked to an engineer who didn't have much to offer either. Until he requested to know the color of marker drawn on the transmission cross-member. It turns out the wrong crossmember was installed and installed upside down as well. We stuck the new crossmember on and its a very smooth ride.
