Fixed the tranny...

Had a few problems with it scratching in the high rpms. So I changed the tranny fluid from synthetic to regular and took the tri-ax off (which is on ebay right now, pm me if you want it). But so far it stoped scratching, but look at the inside of my tranny...any idea what it could have been?

In high rpms at WOT all of a sudden it would start making a scratching coming from the transmission. Take a rock and scratch concrete real fast...thats what it sounded like.

I doubt it was the shifter. The fluid change might have cured it.

Regular fluid is a little less slick than synthetic so it might allow the synchros to grab better and prevent grinding the gears....if that's what this "scratching noise" actually is.
