And you thought the pitman arm/headers were a problem.

What exactly is shot? The tube that the rubber bushing pushes into on the frame?

the bushing has a steel sleeve around it, are you sure the frame is rotted and not just the bushing?

I had to replace the rear section of my frame rails. First step is to buy the section(s) you need, then if you feel comfortable welding on your car, you proceed to cut (using NEW section as a guide) out the old rail section, fit and weld in the new section.
OR, if you don't feel comfortable doing this repair yourself, find a shop that can do it for you.

Another question.....You say your frame rail is rotted, How is your trunk floor, trunk floor drop-off, and lower rear quarter panel?
My experience has shown that frequently, when the frame rail is rotted, you'll have rot in these areas too!

It is the header you're going to cut and weld and not the pitman arm, right?

There's nothing like working around a problem rather than fixing it!

If your are referring to his pitman arm/header problem I completely agree. Cobain, you should probably start a new thread with your repair plan before cutting any good/expensive parts up and see what advice is out there. There are thousands of p/s cars out there with tri-y's.

Not to mention your TOP priority should be repairing your rotted frame rail before it completely disintegrates and you lose your rear suspension, drive shaft, etc., with it!

You're right BBFCM. Safety supercedes dressing up the exhaust.
