Flame thrower kits

I saw a post a long time ago about these. I have many questions about them. I would like to put it on my car just to show off (im a teenager) and no one around here has even fathomed the idea, and there is nothing better than being the first. Now, question time:
1. How hard are they to install?
2. How exactly do they work?
3. What will it do to my car?
4. Will it hinder performance in ANY way?

By no means are these legal for sreet use and are Very dangerous in close quarters.
most do not work well, if at all ,with catalytic converters.. I have been told that you run the risk of damaging multiple aspects of your car, the least of which is your motor due to backfire, and melted rear bumpers.
I too think these "look" cool, but I will leave it up to the more daring ,and rich, individuals to do this.. If you need to know more just search the topic on google.
