I pulled my 289 out of my 66 and I'm putting a 302 in.The flexplate is a different size for the 302,so I will need a diff. starter. What do you guys suggest? thanks

You want the flexplate that will match your transmission. If you are going to be using the same transmission that was bolted to your 289 you will just use the flexplate and starter from your 289.

Edit: this only holds true if you are using a 28 oz imbalance 302
