Has anyone used this stuff?

View attachment 509372

I know JR has tried it. How did you apply it? Was it just the stuff in the picture or was it something different?

Also, how should I polish an aluminum piece of exhaust pipe. I'm using it for my CAI, but it has a very dirty aluminum finish right now. I'm thinking just sand it down with very light sand paper, then some steel wool, then use this Flitz stuff. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jake

I used the ball that came with the kit also. Call me "old-fashion" but I like polishing by hand and with Mother's. I didn't like the way the ball threw off a lot of dust and left residue all over my car after polishing the wheels. It really doesn't work that well IMO. Just use some mothers on that piece and it will shine like chrome after some sweat.

I used the Flitz paste on my girlfriend’s rims (polished aluminum) and it took the oxidation and "milky" appearance away. I am yet to find another product to work as well. It's expensive but the only product that has made a noticeable improvement to date. I used Mothers Mag Polish to give the rims some extra shine, but that alone would not take out the discoloration.

Flitz works good, their ball works good also, Mothers also makes a ball and polish combo similar to Flitz.
