I have a 87 gt and the driver side floor pan is shot. I got a new one but it looks a lot harder to fix than i thought . Does anyone have a clue on how to fix this,or at least where to begin.

Thank You

I'm far from an expert, but i believe new floor pans need to be welded in. I would take it somewhere to get done.

The old pan has to be cut at the seams and the new one welded back in. A body shop can do it if you can talk them into it...

Find a good bodyshop and have them do it. It really shouldn't be horribly expensive but might be a little pricey. Unless you have done it before or have access to someone who has I would recommend having it professionaly done.

What a pain in the ass... i had to drill out all spot welds which held my floor pan to the frame/pinch/tranny x-member/seat mount etc.. A lot of labour goes into this project if its on your own time, but what a difference a new floor pan made for me! I did a full drivers side pan by the way...
