Florida 5.0 Gauges install, how hard??

How hard is it to install these gauges, how much wireing is there needed to be done to make all the gauges work?

have a link? I installed replacement stock type white face gauges in my vert. It was easy. Never seen the type you mentioned.

I have not done it, but know what you are talking about. I was wanting to get them as well, but decided to make my own.

It's only as hard as the gauges you pick, since they are all autometer, I would assume there wouldn't be any hurdles that couldn't be easily overcome.

I would give myself a full day to get them all installed, take your time, theres quite a few gauges to get in(depending on the one you get)

teh type hes mentioning is all autometer gauges that replaces the stock gauge cluster...nd it will be a decent amount of wiring and tube running...u gotta run oil pressure, water temp, volts (all to engine bay) plus the lights and ground..(not hard), plus teh tach, speedo, and fuel..all which im not sure about

Alright here we go.... I'm actually from FL (not that it really matters) and I've talked to the guys at Florida 5.0 a few times. I'm going to buy one of their clusters soon. Basically, it is as easy or hard as you make it. All of the electric gauges can splice into the factory wiring harness for the stock cluster. They include instructions on which color wire to splice for which gauge. Keep in mind, this is IF you get the gauges from them prewired and ready to go. Of course, if you tap into the factory wiring you are using the factory sending units. I don't know how accurate these are. Is it the gauge or the sender tham makes our gauges suck? It also comes with an adapter to hook up your factory speedo cable to the Autometer speedo. If you get mechanical gauges you will have to run the appropriate hoses and such. It comes with whatever gauges you pick, plus the blinker lights and high beam indicator. Hope this helps. www.florida50.com

sorry about not including a link, i just asumed every one knew what they were.
Thanks Fox saleen. So it going to be a basic splice with the Electric gauges so not to hard if you have some know how and machanicle ability?

It's just a matter of splicing the correct wires...and complete insutructions are included. You will rpelace your factory sending units with the aftermarket ones, but use the stock wiring...very clean install. It comes complete and works perfect.

i love those gauges. Does anyone with them have any complaints? How much do they cost?

You actually don't have to splice anything. You use the "wire taps" that snap over the insulation and have another connection that plugs into it. So if you wanted to for some odd reason put the factory cluster back in it would be just that simple.

Cost? The 4 gauge cluster on the left up there is $460 and the 6 gauge is around $630 I believe. They come prewired and in the cluster for that price. I've seen a few cars with them at shows and the owners had no complaints.

You can get them in Black, white, or the silver Ultralites.

Haha, that's funny. The pic on the left has my steering wheel in it. At least I know what my cars going to look like with that 4 gauge cluster in it.

Sorry, I should have been more clear about the connections, but you are correct.

As far as the gauges, keep in mind they can be made up any way you want, with whatever gauges you want, and priced accordingly.

And no, I never had a single complaint about mine.

don't mean to try and hijack the thread but the 78 MGB comment was kinda funny because me and my best friend just put a rover V8 in his 78 MGB. He has those guages in his car look good.

I've never used a better set of shorty headers. Mine were JetHot coated and I'd do it again (and probably will) in a heartbeat.
