Flowmaster to Bassani???

I've had my Flows for 2 years.
The drone is getting to me a little.
In fact, I think my Flows also "whistle" or "whine" a little.

Anyhow, would a Bassani QT system be quieter inside the car?

Flowmasters are HP killers compared to a straight through design. I have seen several dyno results where Flows lose about 5-6rwhp over the STOCK mufflers! (Most recently on Corral.) Anywho, I'm sure you'll like the Bassani's.

But i'm just interested in the sound/drone.
I don't want to waste my time and $$ if there isn't a nice difference in drone.

The bassani's are a LOT louder than the Flowmasters, but due to the design of them, they are low on drone. I don't think you'll find ANY drone in ANY straight through mufflers.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

But what is "a lot"?

I'm not sure what some of these guys are talking about, but I have the Bassani QT with a magnaflow X and it's louder and does drone pretty bad. Although I do love the drove

i got my bassani catback first and it sounded great with the stock midpipe and headers. then i had the x put in (catted and catless) and then the mid lengths. sounds great, you would not be dissapointed, much better than flows in my opinion

Mine drone just as bad as the Flowmasters did when i had them, if not worse. It is real loud on the interstate. I have an o/r x pipe with mine. It think it sounds a lot better though.

I had Flows on my 1988GT and have MagnaFlows on my 1998GT. It's a night-and-day comparision. The Flows drone at exactly 2000-2300 and the Magnaflows have a drone at 2200-2300 and it's much less noticable than Flowmaster. I'd imagine the Bassani to be similar.

Bassanis also have removable baffles in the tips that are supposed quiet it down on long drives.

i have a bassani X-pipe and catback love the sound they are better than flow's in my opinion
