I was thinking of just picking up some Flowmaster mufflers to put in my 03 GT but I have a few questions if anybody out there can help:

1. Which series would you recommend?

2. Is just replacing the mufflers okay, or should the whole exhaust be changed out.

3. How much is labor for either just the mufflers, or the whole exhaust?

- thanks -

Ok
1) go to www.mustangexhaust.com and check out some sounds. I dont know performance stats on any

2) Get the whole exhaust kit, as you will then have 2.5" mandrel bent tubing which does not restrict the airflow like the stock bent exahaust does.

3) Should only take an hour to install, and most shops charge like $70/hr. Less if ur lucky, more if your not. I think Ford charges $90 an hour. My mechanic charged me $50/hr.

40 series Delta's is the most popular among stang owners. You can go ahead and get them welded in (just muffs replaced). You don't have to worry about the tube diameter until you're pushing quite a bit more HP. I paid $350 to have my MAC catback installed INCLUDING the catback itself at some small private muffler shop. Shouldn't be that much.

People weld in mufflers all the time! All kinds of mufflers on all kinds of cars. It isn't anything new.

If u save a significant amount of money from weld-ins....take the savings and invest in an x pipe....
If u planning on a power-adder later down the road--go ahead and get the full cat back...
