i had a set of equal shorties, they worked ok, i bought some bbks and it was a PITA to get the flowtechs out since they were Equal length they were hard to manuver around. THe bbks went in easy since they were standard style.

not sure on how it would go on a LT setup, might be harder.

I bought a set of their longtubes and the fitment was horrible, i'd stay away from them and go with a more reputable brand.

Flowcrap long tubes here. I wouldn't think twice about sending them to the crusher when I get new headers. Get the BBK's.

I got the bbk chrome LTs and they werent fun to install. I had to unbolt the motor mounts and jack the engine up. Luckally I still had the engine host in my garge. I dont know how hard the install is on the flowtech LTs. I think they are a good deal for the price. The LTs also add more torque. It all depends on your budget I guess.

i have installed the flowtec unequal length headers a few times for the price i don't think you can beat the shorties they were no problems but they do have alot of built up welds that should be ground from inside tubes with a deburr tool where the bolt to the head for better flow..

I have used Flowtech long tubes in the past. I prefer them because they have the old fashioned 3 bolt 3" collector. BBK (not sure on MAC) use a ball socket colloctor for 2-1/2. A while back one of the mags did a dyno test on the four versions of BBK headers (unequal/equal shorties 1-5/8 & 1-3/4 LTs) and there was hardly any differance in power from an equal length shorty to the 1-5/8 LT, and only a small bump up with the 1-3/4 LTs. Then they bolted up a set with a 3" collector and gained a ton. I'd stick with a 3" collector no matter which brand you choose.

the install issues im not concerned with, any long tube header is going to be a PITA to install, its the fitment and quality im concerned with, so far though, it seems no matter what brand of header it is there is always someone who has had a lineup problem
