i think you can still get them at stereo shops, they were used for cd changer installs for a long time, if they don't have i'll bet they know where you could get one

Sorry, Hungrymonkey, but that ain't it. I used to have a couple back in the 70's and 80's, but that link is for something different. The one I'm looking for plugs into the antennae lead between the antennae and AM radio and has an FM dial so you can recieve FM radio on the AM . It's a small unit that fits under the dash, about 3 1/2 inches wide and an inch thick. I looked on Radio Shacks website but didn't see one. I'll have to ask a guy down the road, if he knows of if and where you can still get them.

Wow, talk about a blast form the past. My old man used to have one in his station wagon, made by sears I believe. He tucked it right under the dash next to the CB. Hunh, ya know, he is basically pakrat senior and I would not doubt if it is in one of his boxes o' junk somewhere. Want me to ask him?

I couldnt figure out why you were saying that it was old. fm modulators have been around for about 10-15 years.

didnt realize you were converting from am to fm.

I bought an AM radio for the 68 Merc the other day, Now I was looking for the FM converter to listen to FM too. I found a guy that's got one on Vintage Mustang.com for $45. Even with spending the $35 + shipping and $45 for the FM converter, It'll still be cheaper than the AM/FM radio that was on ebay this week, last time I looked the bidding was up to $120 for that one. Pakrat, I'd appreciate it if you were to come up with one too. As far as JC Junkney, I'll pass on whatever they sell.
