Has anyone had the Fog lamp bulb shroud come loose?
(black thing around the bulb)

Know of an easy fix?

Mine fell off yesterday and is now rolling around inside the light.
Its too large to fit through the bulb socket.

Normally warranty would..... but I've tinted the lamps yellow AND put in brighter bulbs. Hate to lose the investment.
Besides, the lamp output without the shroud is a little better.

there is a thread around here where a guy put in brighter fog bulbs and keeps blowing the black centers out. i have only heard of it when upgrading to brighter fog lights. warranty will cover it, but might freak about the tint. i think with the brighter bulbs, you are out of luck. maybe you can grab the black centers with needle nose pliers, then cut them down with some small side cutters....

Yep, I got the same problem on 1 side, just the other day. I also have upgraded bulbs. I think the extra heat output is making the center shroud (which is glued in?) break loose. I'm going to change the bulbs back to factory, then see the dealer
