i have a '88 gt and when i turn on my fog lights with my headlights on, after about ten minutes all my lights will just start flashing on and off, and i have to turn off my lights for about 3 seconds, then turn only the headlights on again. it only happens when my fog lights are on, i think its a short but i wouldnt know where.

My GT does the same thing it is pretty common. IT has to do with the switch not being heavy enough to carry the load of the headlights and fog lights. My fix has been to not turn my fog lights on. But there is an article on how to fix this problem. Do a search for fog light wiring fix and you will find it. If not it is int he tech articles over at www.corral.net .

SEE http://www.corral.net/tech/maintenance/foglights.html to fix the problem. The stock wiring isn't up to the job and is overheating. The headlight switch & turn/multifunction switch are affected by Ford's wiring problem. Sometimes it overheats so badly that the plastic shells of the wiring connectors start to melt. This will show you how to add a relay to the fog lights to relieve the overload on the headlight wiring.

Add Fog Lights to a 91 LX?

I have the stock GT headlight switch factory in my LX, and I see two empty connectors under the front. It looks like they used the same harness as a GT up for the factory V-8. Is that right? I have not used a meter to check for power, but ....

What do I need to do to add fog lights? 1. GT/Cobra front facia, 2. Light support bar, 3. The lights kit and #4. the above wiring set up for a relay?

Fog light link - An more suggestions for Fox body LX?

I had looked back only through 2006. Thanks for finding it.

Any other suggestions for putting extra lights on an LX WITHOUT the GT front bumper cover?
