I have a 289 that I put stud mount roller rockers in and the cam I got is a Crane energizer hyd. cam(part #130052 at Summit) that has duration of 272 and a lift of.484(thats figured with stock rockers) I was trying to figure out what length push rod I need and I come up with about 7 1/2 inches. That is far diff. from stock and is kind of an odd length. I'm no engine builder but everyone is telling me thats kind of odd.Does anyone know if that might be right or is something messed up.Thanks guys.

So tell us, how did you come up with 7-1/2" ? That's the length of a roller cammed 351W pushrod. Use your old pushrods, assemble one intake, one exhaust, apply a coat of ink to the valve tip with a magic marker. Cycle the valvetrain a few times then remove the rocker and see where the contact patch is. Then figure if you need to change the pushrod length.
