I have a Ford 302 that I do not know what it came out of or what year it is.
How do I find out? Does anyone know where I find the id number on this engine?

The engine Id tag was attched to the intake with either a separate short bolt, the coil bolt or the carb. It may be impossible and unnecessary to find out the exact car or truck it was installed in. The casting #'s for the block are behind the starter. Head casting #s are on the bottom side of the intake ports. Date code in inside the valve cover.
