yes, you can run returnless pumps on a return system, but not the other way around.

How would I go about doing this? would I have to open the pump casing and replace the actual metal pump

did the 98 cobras have the retarted fuel system that the 98gt's got? or were all the 96-98 cobras the same fuel system? why not run a regular walburo 255 or even 190lph? their probably cheaper than the focus pump

It'll work. Do a search on modularfords.com . BTW- that pump rapes the SVT focus pump. Were talking like 550WHP EASILY with one pump

no, you just remove the old pump, drop in the new one, and wire it in. but like other people said, with a return style system, just go with a Walboro pump. it will plug right in without needing to be wired and they aren't expensive.

There's only one fuel line on the focus/gt pump so just wiring it up won't work

I'm only seeing ones for 96-97's
