My 2000 and 2002 Mustang Gts were 0% interest from Ford Motor Credit company with ZERO down. And paid $200 over invoice.Screw ford and their high prices and i don't care about how many GTs they made.Thats why ford is losing so much money and wall street put their stock at JUNK rate today.Yep Ford and GM is listed as Junk Bonds.I am sure the 2006s will have many more Gts and why would anyone would want a 2005 now when in a few months the 06s will be out and you will have a 2006 GT in Aug or easly Sept. When i walk into any dealer i know they have to make a few dollars so i will offer them $300 over invoice. And i wait till the last day of the month and go in there late afternoon...You might get a 2005 GTO for $28,000 in sept with Zero interest from GM,I hate to get a GTO but will not pay much over invoice and i don't care how rare the mustang is,because in 2 years from now they will be a lot cheaper with many of them around...Johnny

I might take a little offense to that since our family owns several car dealerships, but hey I paid D-plan. Benefits are great....But you are stereotyping a lot. I understand your statement when you are talking about little individual used car lots because they have nothing to stand by. But your larger dealerships with corporate franchises are rated extensively on customer services before and after the sale. It affects their incentives, return sales, and etc... So please educate yourself before making comments. If you don't understand the markups on the mustang go take a basic economics class......it all comes down to simple supply and demand....blame the market forces or Ford for not producing enough....

By the way if you've seen the GTO you should be able to understand why you can walk out the door with one next to nothing. I appreciate pontiacs HP in that vehicle, but design...what an embarrasment to Classic GTOs.

Thank yeaaaaa lol,If most people that want a Mustang with a 6 in it they should wait till aug or sept and get the car at a tad over INVOICE maybe $300.And ford will still have their 0% interest for up too 60 months from ford motor credit. As i see on the Ford website most dealers have mustangs with the 6s in them.Trust me the shape with Ford and GM they will still have the Zero % interest in Aug -jan 2006.Or buy a import and put a american out of work lol.....I remember years ago you would be very dumb to buy a ford or GM that was built on a monday.Reason is that many americans got DRUNK on the weekends and on monday they did not want to work and screw up the cars.I know I have 3 1970 440 sixpack Superbirds 1 440 Daytona 2 19691/2 Hemi superbees among others with different BUILT sheets from other cars under the seats...Jt

 I was told by Ford that the Ford Dealers are independent {sorry about my spelling its the WINE}When i got my 2002 Mustang Gt i had a problem with the rearend after a few months.I took it to ford and they said i abused it because i had a dented rim.Had a hard time and wanted to screw the dealer and ford would do nothing at all.Ohhh yea they are one of the biggest dealers in Pa.Anyway I took the car to a dealer in New Jersey and they fixed it without any problems.A rearend problem that would have cost me $1500 from the dealer i bought the car from. But the dealer from New Jersey said it was a bad part in the rearend and i could not have caused it at all.So even the big dealers are at fault and i am very happy that FORD stocks are at the JUNK rate and maybe they will not take avantage of us.I am just saying that a salesman will stick to yea like glue{very annoying}and most will not be there in a year from now.I love seeing the car ships that pull into new jersey with the imports.JT

You have just out done yourself. You obviously have a lot of knowledge on this subject and this post reflects that.

So one dealer does their job according to the policies, and the other one either didn't notice the rim or bent the rules. Ford Dealers are mostly independent, but Ford still has a tremendous influence. Ford Dealers love doing work under warranty when they can...it is just free money from Ford... Ha...take advantage of you...happy they are at the Junk rate...a large part of that is because of oil prices that has killed their truck and suv sales...but hey I guess you don't keep up with that...next Ford will have to look at cutting cost which means probably laying off workers within the states and shipping them overseas...then that one person that is laid off will somewhat affect whomever you work for because their income that could somehow influence your company's income statement is now in Mexico...so with that said go Junk Bonds...I'm probably going to purchase a large amount for the fact that most Junk Bonds in corporations like this don't default, and they are a huge way to make a large return on your investment... So please go educate yourself and flame somewhere else....

Mr. Duner thank yeaaaa
Just get very annoyed with car dealers
Was going to buy a 2005 Tahoe and the dealers wanted $48,000
Went to a GMC dealer and got the Yukom at $42,000 with everything the Tahoe has......JohnnyThunders
UPDATE
I am a ship broker that imports steel from China to the states, thats why Bethlehem steel went out of business.I know about the gas prices and tanker rates that bring oil into this country. We would not have high fuel prices if we import fuel from Russia....Russia has the most OIL but they cannot get at it,but BP Oil had a contract and maybe oil prices will drop in the next few years.......Jt

Well now that you bring all that up maybe I should elaborate a bit here...see china has fixed the exchange rate for yen/dollar instead of letting market forces control it...this has made US exports expensive to the chinese as well as other countries this has affected and made imports from China much cheaper (your steel)...this is why the US is considering larger tarrifs on chinese goods unless the Chinese decide to let market forces control the exchange rate...they are undervaluing the yen, and this has also been a large part of the Chinese economy boom which is causing oil prices to sky rocket...not all of high oil prices is because we are actually low on supply or shipping costs because oil companies are making record profits and a large part is based on speculation...but speculation fixes many stock prices as well as oil so this is nothing new...just a little bit of an economics review for you...now i'm done dealing with you flamer...

Hummm i guess you are the car salesperson that is hurting from the imports.I don't blame you at all for being mad at the imports. If the imports make a better car let the marketplace talk.Funny thing FORDS NEW GT that cost $150,000 has so many problems with it.The flaws are Cracks are found on the suspension control arm.ither problems are Defective electrical components that cause battery to drain,Power-steering and engine coolant leaks and a steering column rattle. And lets not forget the Oil leakks caused by an improper finish on the crankshaft,They are trying to fix it with something called the SPEEDI-SLEEVE and its a low cost to ford it sounds like a fix and not a solution.I really don't want to talk about China steel because its over your head since you are not in Dry Shipping and only a car salesperson.Make those commisions.Jt :rlaugh:
UPDATE
Whoever said thats theres no oil?
The Chinese has nothing to do with the oil
And the US will never have higher Tarrifs on chineses products because the chinese are our friends lol.
And if the Chinese can sell us cheaper Steel we will be buying it and have for many years as of now.
And Oil prices should drop in the next few years since BP is producing Oil in Russia

hmmm..imports...well Honda and Suzuki are under our umbrella...and our Ford dealership is more than profitable...Must be all those Mustangs we are ripping people on as you say...oh wait...we are a primary truck and suv dealer...and are still making plenty of money with the oil prices as high as they are...I must be real upset...I didn't talk about chinese steel nor would I...it's not my expertise and I wouldn't comment about something I'm not educated about...maybe you should think about that...I was just stating the reason Chinese imports are on such a rise...so for my last comment of the night...you've been......... :owned:

You must have married one of the owners kids so you don't know what work really is.I ratter make it on my own and not owe anyone anything. If people want to waste their money and not wait till Aug or sept for their 2005 v6 with their 0 percent interest rate shame on them. How can you walk into a party with your headup and say you sell cars lol...I know most of us would change the subject at the party.I was told at a early age you never want to sell cars, and you you are here on this site saying its ok for dealers to charge over MSRP.You must be real low trash to screw these good people. You must be selling in the deep south somewhere.Jt

if you weren't such a dumb___ you'd read my post and realize we don't screw people on the mustangs because we are a primary suv and truck dealer....but I must of written that above your education level....just a thought to leave you on...you seem to think that you should be able to go in and demand the dealer sell you the car for invoice and they shouldn't make any money on the front end...so do you think your company should have their income cut because according to you it isn't ok to make a profit...better yet do you go into a department store and argue the price of a shirt...or the grocery store and argue how much some grapes should cost...we live in a capitalistic society if you don't like it...feel free to leave

Oh yes...so let me get this straight since you seem to be such a great business man...you have 2 customers attempting to buy the same car...one is willing to pay sticker for the car they are in love with (with plenty others lined up to pay sticker) or some dumb____ that you don't even want to deal with wants to pay 200 over invoice....who would you sell it to...case shut....

countdownlove, Russia just passed a new law that requires all companies to have 51% domestic ownership. This was intended to keep BP from being able to bid on the Russian oil producing properties. Without foreign investment, their will be very slow growth in Russian oil production. China is currently the fastest growing consumer of oil. Not just for automotive use but also for industrial use. In order to make the dam on the Yellow river an economically viable project, China has denied most permits for new electrical generating plants. This has caused massive shortages of electric power. Many plants can only operate 3 days a week using power off the grid. The rest of the time they are generating power with on-site diesel generators. I also question the steel imports you speak of China has become a net importer of steel. They now consume more than they make. You might want to start considering your future.
