i have a custom made x-pipe the x-pipe and 3 inch chrome tips cost me $120 installed but i checked out the muffler shop mechanic with a few local stang owners who had exhaust work done by him and they recommended his work and now i recommend him but what i'm trying to say if he is a good exhaust mechanic yes its a good deal but you need to insure he is....
he had built my 2-1/2" x-pipe for my 92 gt it sounded great, he did it for $125, about 3 yrs ago... i also provided the flowmasters....i think i paid $160 for both flowmasters.....so i think i paid $285 total 3 yrs ago....so i was wondering is that a good price now??? he said he would build me just the x-pipe and dump it for around $140 and do everything for $325....
