Ok i filled my tank today to find my fuel leak, because it would only smell if i had more then 1/2 tank. So just wondering why do i get strong smell of gas threw a/c vents

the leak is somewhere on the gas tank so im guessing above... it maybe fuel pump... going to wait till some gas is out of it to pull it apart

Check where the filler tube where it slides into the tank. The rubber grommet gets old and and hard and leaks can form there. Had it happen on my old 88GT..

Or the line could be cut for the fuel tank vent tube under the hood. Where it runs to the charcoal canister....

thanks for the help! i checked that one that goes to that canister and it looks fine, i checked everything under the hood all fuel lines, fuel rails, injecters, and the ones in the back of intake. Maybe its just coming from the back of the car and is just strong so maybe its not coming from the vents? oh well, i will work on it when the tank gets low

My tank was leaking where the two halves are welded together on the passenger side. Fuel leaks are normally easy to find, just follow your nose.
