It wasnt the transmission that was messin up... it was the O2 sensor that was messin up the air to gas mixture, which in turned made the motor bog down when i gunned it... anyone know how to replace a passenger O2 sensor... is it easy?
It's easy if you have the right tools, near impossible if you don't. The O2 sensors are on the h-pipe, and can only be reached from under the car. Jack up the front of the car and crawl under, about where the tranny is. Follow the exhaust up to the engine, and you'll see a sensor sticking out of the h-pipe. That's the O2 sensor. There's two total; one on each downpipe. Now comes the fun tool part. It can be nasty getting your average wrench in there.
Anyone have any recommendations on the right wrench/socket to use? It's been a while.
An open-end wrench would be the best bet for clearance (at least thats how it was where they are located on my BBK O/R H), and to help the removal if they are rusted in, a generous spray of PB Blaster would do wonders
