Thank you in advance for your help. I am working with a 1993 Cobra. I have bought a short block kit that was built by Center Coast and upper used all the stock GT40 package that came on the Cobra. The issue I am having is it will start run for a minute or so then die. It will not restart but you can smell the fuel, has spark. I disconnect the battery and after 30 minutes or so I can hook the battery up and it will start but it all starts over again.
I have set the TPS to 1.0, I added a Canton oil pan so I do not have a oil level sensor but that should not have anything to do with the engine dieing and not restarting.

Any ideas? Thank you again for any help.

When it dies, try starting it with the gas pedal depressed to the floor. This will turn the injector pulse off. Could be possibly flooding the engine.

I would also pull the codes and see if they are giving any clue. You can at least run the KOEO and CM codes and see if anything is stored in there during the brief time it starts.

Thank you for your response, I have opened the throttle and it will start but it will quickly die acting like it is getting to much fuel.
As for the codes, I am not getting a check engine light will it still report a code? Any ideas on who offers an adapter to go from OBD II back to OBD I?

Yes, even if the check engine light isn't on, codes can still be stored.

Just snag this OBD1 reader. Cheapest price I've seen in a while
