Will a X pipe set up from a Fox Body from the headers to mufflers work in a 67 coupe or is it too much work?

The question was if an exhaust system from a Fox3 will fit in a '67.

The answer is no on the headers, yes on the rest.....but not without cutting it up and modifying it to fit the earlier chassis. It's not a bolt-on affair at all.

So your saying I will need new headers? Currently I have BBK shorties.

I have no first-hand experience, but a lot of people on here have said that the driver's side header points into or hits the steering box.

Do you think it would be better to go with long pipes instead?
The body is at the shop for metal work and paint so I have a few months before the engine will be dropped in, I never did a test fit prior to it going as I didnt have the correct motor mounts at the time.

what headers do u have now if they are fox platform they will not work if thet are designed for a classic id use them over a long tube and have a custom x-h whatever u perfer made
its hard to find a long tube that dont hang down i took them off of the vert and put short tube headers on to gain some ground clearnce

BBK shorties. The block is a 5.0 out of a 86 Lincoln. It fit in my 92 LX when I put it all together. But the 67 isnt a 92.
