My 1991 foxbody Lx 5.0 I pulled the connector going to my headlight switch because I want to add a new switch and noticed the plug that connects to the switch has melted abit how do you dpin it,? I tried and I cant get the wires to pop out of the melted plug, Is it ok to just cut and resplice the wires going to the new plug connector and wrap them with black electrical tape?

General karthief

wonder how much it would cost to ship you a pair

Look at the plug side of the connector with a light, there is a little tab you push. This may help:

If it's too melty and you can't un pin it, smash it with a BFH , that should do the trick.
Don't ask.

No. either solder and heat shrink, or use butt crimps.

Those wires carry some current, so you want a secure, robust connection
