Today I finally removed my old school dark purple peeling tint off my red 93 notch. I am trying to decide on 20% or 5% all around. I know 5% can be a pain in the a$$ at night, but right now I am more concerned about the looks. I

Show me some foxbodys and what percentage tint you have. Thanks

I have 5% on the rear and the 1/4's. The side windows are 35%. Had it professionally done, all together, $170. Sorry, its hard to really show tint in pics, but 5% will work great for the back windows, but unless you want hassle from the law, 35% or more is a good choice for the side windows. Not sure what state you are in or the laws regarding window tint/film.[IM

i think your tint choice should depend on other factors as well..

how often do you drive at night? are police around your area strict about tint, if so whats the law in your state? and what color is your interior?

a dark, especially black interior will make the tint seem alot darker, therefore you should get a higher percent. maybe a 35%

If you look on the Technical Articles (under Miscellaneous) on TCCOA.com, there's an article listing all of the window tint percentages allowed on side/rear windows by law for every state. Most of them don't care what you use on the windows BEHIND the driver (quarter windows included), but 35% is about the norm for side windows in most places and tint is generally a total no-no on front windows, except for X number of inches down from the top (which is usually already tinted from the factory on most cars, anyway).

I have had 20% on my truck since 1999 and I have never had a problem with the cops in my area. I was maybe thinking about 5% on the stang but I might just get 20% just to be safe.

mines 5% on the back and sides, i have np strip on the front, i am 6'3" and the tint stripe was a PITA and i hated having to duck down because it was in my way.

5% is VERY DARK, hard to see in during the car and you can see in it at ALL during night, and its very hard to see OUT during the the night. i would reccomed at least 20$ or higher!!!

I see bubbles...

I'm debating whether or not to tint the Notch. I just don't like the whole wrinkley-ripple effect a lot of tints have, especially as they age in the sun, because no matter what percentage the film is, it's hard to see through - it's like trying to look through a sweaty glass of grape Kool-Aid or something. Definitely only doing 35% on the door windows for legal and practical purposes, but I'm not sure if I want to go as dark as 5% on the back or just 20%...
