Foxbody with side pipes?

Anyone have any pictures of an Foxbody with side pipes? I was just on the 4.6 forums and saw a video with a '96 GT on them and was wondering what they would look like on a Foxbody

Back in the day that was the thing to do. Nobody did it because at the time it was too expensive. I'll see if I have any pictures. I've got magazines from the 90's that sold them

Looks cool w/the integrated side skirts (and a body kit to match and make it flow well), but cheap and tacky with just visible pipes and nothing else. Just my opinion

This was someone's car on here a few years back...not sure if they're still around or not.

I think it has a certain cool factor about it on an older Mustang like this one, but i don't think it would work on an aero nose car. It's one of those over the top things that is so bold that most people probably won't like it much. I think it's more suited for old hotrods and old Vettes.

Also i can tell you from personal experience they're a giant pain in the ass. My best friend's brother had an old AMC Javelin that was pretty rad...it had a 1 piece fiberglass nose that tilted forward to show the entire dog house, and had full length heacers that came out behind the front wheels to side pipes down the sides. It was a crazy car. The sucky part(s) were that you almost always burned your ankles getting out even though they had heat shields on them, they almost always scraped on speed bumps and anything higher than the street basically, and if you've ever rode in a car with dumps and thought the exhaust smell was bad, this is 100x worse.

In short, unless you have an old Vette or hotrod or something where it fits the look of the car so well that it would look like it's missing something without them, i wouldn't screw with it. I've thought about running just side exit pipes like the '00 Cobra R, but they can be a pain too.
