Im biased, but nothing sounds better than a pushrod motor with LT's, catless H or X pipe, and my 14 year old 3 chamber flows! My neighbors hate it, my fiance thinks it is obnoxious, and that makes it even cooler!!!
While I do admit, there is nothing quite like a 5.0 mustang with a chambered muff and an o/r h-pipeā¦..my 4.6 dohc with an o/r x-pipe and dumped flows sounds just plain NASTY. It frightens women and children and the occasional girly man. The sound is much more exotic with less of a grumble and more of a rasp. I find myself engine breaking just to hear the pops and grumbles. With that said, it's actually too much with the convertible to bear and at some point I will be swapping out to something along the line of a Magnaflow with some full pipes out back.
