FPR help

Ok, so i need help replacing my fuel pressure regulator on my 87 gt. I tried replacing it but i cant seem to get to it. any pointers or steps into replacing this. i refuse to take it to a mechanic or dealer.

It's probably easiest to remove your upper manifold to do it, but I'm sure it can be done without removing it as well. Just might take a bit more patience.

I just took off the egr valve, spacer and throttle body. I still left everything hooked up as far as linkage and hoses except for the hose that goes in the front of the egr spacer. Take what ever allen wrench that fits it and cut about a 1/4inch off of the L

then its time consuming and be sure not to drop the screws but its possible and you don't have to worry about lining up the intake manifold and buying gaskets...etc

unbolt the fuel rail and swivel it around, you can leave the injectors in the lower manifold if you want. it should be able to twist around far enough to easily get the 3 allen bolts out. i think this would be alot easier for you instead of having to cut up wrenches and dink around with it.

I was done in 22min (I time my projects)
also 12hours to install ring a pinion for the 1st time with a 2 hour screaming break.
3.5 hours to install carrier bearings (simple)
20min to change stock intake to new c&l 76mm maf and tube
15min to put underdrive pulleys on
2hour and 40min to install catback and offroad pipe
