this is getting annoying. my front passenger side headlight keeps burning out. i'll replace the bulb and then within a month or two it will start dimming and then burn out comletely. does anyone have any ideas as to what's wrong? any suggestions?
If it dims and them goes out it might be something electrical. Look at the lines and see if the wires are exposed. Other then that try and see if there is ant cracks in the headlight housing itself. Both my foglight housings are cracked and now I gave up on replacing the lights.
1) as stated by numbles: check to see if the housing is cracked as water will kill bulbs
2) be careful not to touch the buld with your fingers when installing as the oils from your hands create hot spots on the bulb and this could also cause them to burst.
note: i considered the electrical short like numbles said but that should kill your fuse, not the bulb.
