Can anyone answer this for me?

are 1989 to 1993 foxbody swaybars all 33mm?

I need new brackets for my 1989 GT and cannot find the brackets themselves if my life depended on it. I guess i'm asking if all the brackets are interchangeable from 88-93.

As far as I know, other than the 1993 Cobra, all front 5.0 sway bars are the same on 87-93.

Well what confuses me is that they have different mm bushings for every year from what I've researched. 27mm or 33mm and so on. I'm almost sure i have a 33mm (1 5/16) but what i really need to know is if all the brackets are interchangeable. One of mine is broken and the bushing is missing. I see brackets for 27mm swaybars and brackets for 91-93 foxbodys but none for 89s. It shows these to be different from the other years. I have seen some "universal" moog bushings and brackets that are 33mm or
1 5/16 but my concern now is the bracket height.
Would it cause any problems if the front swaybar were to be pulled up slightly if the universal brackets were a bit shorter than the oem ones?

Thanks

I see what you mean. Even just checking Rockauto.com under one year (1988 for example) I see a number of different sizes. From 23mm to 33mm.

Do you have the means to put a caliper on the bar to measure diameter?

When I redid my front suspension, I just ordered a kit like above and it fit. I never measured a thing. ASAIK, the 87-93 2.3L bar is one diameter and the 5.0L bar is another.

I haven't measured it but i should. I'm almost 99% sure it's a 33mm though. I may just chance it with the kit. They accept returns so yeah.

What year was yours? I might order the kit with the 33mm. They're returnable so i won't lose on much if they don't work.

I bought a caliper to measure my truck's sway bar from harbor freight for next to nothing. It comes in handy. Buy that and you'll know what you have for sure.
