Have to say it is one of the best mods I have done to the Stang. Since I have had 410 gears I always had a bad vibe on 4th and 5th gears on the highway. After the swap the difference was night and day! Very smooth ride in higher RPMs. Couldnt be happier, found it in a garage sale for $120.00

You know, I swapped mine out with a Aerostar one. I have to say, it's the best thing I've ever done to my Stang. I know it's not the FRPP one... but it still made a hell of a difference! All the vibes I got before are gone!

+1!

Garage sale?! I'm jealous! I paid a lot for my new one!

Maaaaaaan, I searched junk yards for a long time for one of those, but everybody seems to like to lift the minivans with fork lifts from the side... Crushing the driveshaft.

Might have had a slight ding in it from when they put in the drive shaft?? Maybe... Glad you like yours what a heck of a steal too.

Thanks! Yeah I got pretty lucky on that deal, to bad I didnt have more money to spend on parts. The guy had an 89 that he wrecked and before the city towed it away he took all the good parts off. On the list were:

Brand new FRPP heavy duty T-5 for $600
FordMotorsport lowering c springs $100 in the box
used T-5 bad second gear for $100

Dang, the FRPP heavy duty would have been a real steal.
Could have had the t-5 rebuilt for about $300.
