Ahh, that clears things up. I'm by all means not a naysayer, we'll find out exactly how they perform when they hit the market.

Not a big deal or anything, but unless the fuego has faster memory, I wouldn't think that it having more memory would necessarily make it faster, just be able to hold more tunes.

It sounds to me as if he was talking more RAM (Random Access Memory) as well
as regular memory, which in this case would probably be like EPROM (Electronic Programmable Read Only Memory). Think short term and long term memory, like 'Where did I leave that oil filter, I just bought' and 'How do I change my oil'. If you can hold more things in short term memory i.e. where is your oil, filter, and which socket you need for the drain plug? You can change your oil that much faster, well the same is mostly true for computers.

I understand what you are saying and understand that concept, I just assumed the files were loaded from where they were originally stored, I didn't think these units were sophisticated enough to have their own memory.

Thanks for clearing that up!

Message from JR

He emailed me back this when I asked if there was any manual or what types of settings it will allow to modify.

His reply:
I am writing the manual now. The tool will do the following

Idle RPM
Traction Control On/Off
Read Trouble codes erase them
Cooling Fan temp On/OFF
Tire Size
Axle ratio
MAF Selection
Spark and Fuel Adjustments 20% on Fuel & 10% on spark

I am no expert but it does not seem to give you much setting changes?

I mean when you get a different exhaust such as O/R H-pipe or even axle backs do they (Doug or Brent) modify the tune a little to make things perform better? (Please comment for me stupid)

Also what about Throttle body change, delete plate, LT's, UD pulley's, and so forth.

I guess if all you ever do is add a CAI, and gears you will be fine.
