My wife has a 05 Stang GT that has been running awesome, a couple of days ago it just quit, it would start but die if you tried to give it gas. I pulled it home and let it set over night the next morning running fine would this be the fuel filter or pump?
Were you driving it when it died? Is there much gas in the tank? Its probably the fuel pump, fuel filter would just make it run like crap not just decide not to run all of a sudden. The reason it probably stopped working was it got hot while driving, probably at a half a tank or less. The gas is what cools the pump and when its not submerged in gas its prone to getting hotter faster. Which would be the reason the car started the next morning no problem, the pump cooled down and was fine. Bet if you take it for a decently long drive it will sputter and cut out again.
