hey guys im trying to remove my fuel filter on my 98 gt, i got the clamps off but i can not get the hoses to come loose from the filter. those fuggers are on there really good, any ideas on how to get them loose?

This webpage displays a large number of fuel line disconnect tools. You should be able to find one of them at AutoZone or Pep Boys. Make sure you're buying the one for your car model's year.

well i got the fuel filter disconnect tool today, but i still cannot get the damn fuel line off the fuel filter. when i slide the tool in i hear the small snap of the spring being pushed back, but i cannot get the fuel lines away from the filter housing. any good ideas on how to get this damn filter loose?

ya kinda have to wiggle the tool into the gap between the filter & clamp. it took me a few tries to get it in there right, then just pull it from the clamp. it's in there pretty good, so don't be easy on it. that should work, if it doesn't i don't know what to tell you

what size are you using? i used the light blue one, 3/8 i think, found it easier than the one on the website i gave you(the grey one). just keep wiggleing them, but some gas might fall on you, so beware, good luck :nice: o yeah, and i returned those tools, too freaking expensive, dont care how many come in the set, 12 bux is too much for plastic tools :p
