I have an 89 GT. What are the stock injectors? If they are 19lbs is it safe to put a 19lbs Mass Air Meter on with the stock injectors? I have 19lbs injectors on order but won't put them on until my intake manifold comes.

stock injectors are 19lbs. You have to use a mass air meter that is calibrated for the injector size you are using. So if your stock injectors are fine, I don't know why you would replace them with new 19lb injectors. Just use your stock injectors with a MAF that is calibrated for 19's.

Yeah even with the intake.. the stock injectors are the same as the 19's you ordered.. 19's can handle 300hp depending on duty cycle, BSFC and fuel pressure and I don't see your car making 300 fwhp until you tackle the heads and cam. If you wanted to jump to 24lb injectors and matching C&L I don't see a problem with that either and would give you more room to grow..It may be slightly over injected but with a matching MAF and an a/f pressure regulator you should be able to adjust things alright. But if heads and cam aren't in the near future I would stick to what you have and run the 19's for a while if it were me.

Next Oct I plan on dropping in a GT-40 crate engine but that is still a while away. I'll stick with the 19's.

Thanks
