Currently my DSS 331 w/ E7 stock heads, .488 lift B-cam has 24lb inj. w/ 190lph pump and on 3 standard dynojet pulls A/F was running rich at 10.8-11 ratio and produced 255hp/326tq.

I have a Vortech H.O. V2sq 8lb kit ready to go on then get a dyno tune done for it. Would like to know if the 24lb'ers and 190lph alone is sufficient enough to feed that specially under long road trips w/ long WOT burst? Assuming HP after the install and tune it would hit 350-400hp area.

I have hopes i can get away w/ what i got already or maybe step-up to 30lb inj. w/ the 190lph, what are ya'lls thought?

Well the 30# with a 190lph pump and a T-rex should be fine for that combo, although I'd prefer a 36# inj and a custom tune.. If you try to use the 24# you'll need to run a FMU

i wouldn't run 24's...just get some 42's and a 255lph intank. If you have to buy injectors anyway, might as well get them bigger now than have to buy two sets if you want to run more boost later.

Get a wideband on it or put it on a dyno, get the A/F safe and go at it. ;)

36 lbs will be just under over the industry standard of 80% at 400 hp.

Running those numbers through, you need 37.5 lbs minimum, so the next step up would be the best. But like droptop said, keep in mind if you want to run more boost later. Injectors are not cheap.

On the dyno we made 425hp/465tq to the wheels with a 36# inj, no FMU, 255lph Hi-Pressure pump, T-rex and we were under 80% duty cycle, pressure was at 36psi on the reg. 331, 9.5:1, ported GT40 Irons, Extrude Honed Cobra intake, 75mm TB, 83mm Pro-M, full exhaust, cats, emissions etc, A-trim 10psi, AFM power pipes, etc..

Actually pulled fuel out down low with the PMS, and a/f ratio was more then fine.

I am usually a advocate of the 42# inj on all blower combo's but I do not see a tuner or chip of any sort listed for you, they will be to large/lazy down low with the STOCK EEC.

What are your intentions with the combo? Are you planning on swapping the H/C/I anytime soon?

i know from experience that a good set of heads will drastically raise your power numbers! :OT:

Well the Vortech HO kit has it's FMU which i plan to install also comes w/ the MSD boost/timing retard, the only thing i hope to bypass is the T-rex pump would like to keep it to a single in-tank pump if it's doable as there already so much equip. wired to the car.

The H/C/I is stg 1 E7's, B-cam .488 lift, Cobra intake. Financially i'm spent out would love AFR's w/ a F-cam. I have the S/C left to install, cover it's fuel needs, then w/ the Stock EEC take it and get it dyno-tuned possibly Pan-Handle Performance. I assume w/ the limit of the heads and cam the 8lb output kit would run 350-370hp after the dyno tune.

Initially it started w/ a broken crank on my 302 progressed to a DSS 306 but for a lil more hell get the 331, put a .488 lift cam to keep it mild but compliment the 331 and Pan-Handle did the heads over w/ valves, springs, retainers, seals. As the months went by i wanted a S/C so she'd still be strong as she is on the low end and have the blower take care of the upper end like in 4th and 5th (.82 ratio) pulls.

W/ what i have now that'll be it after the dyno-tune then i'll be happy to have C-5 Z06 like power, go to work on her, maximize gas mileage (my foot), and just run the miles up on her.

Again i appreciate ya'll comments as i'm in the dark on the limts, duty cycles and such of the fuel system.

if anything, i would save up and get some better heads for that 331. on a sc 331, you should be seeing 350-400 at the wheels, not with a blower. add a nice set of heads and you should be in the mid 340ish hp range.

BUT, i would run 36# injectors.... better safe than sorry.

I think the 225cc head is a little big from what my impressions are of what he is looking for. I personally have not had my hands on those Vic Jr/AFR knockoffs, so I do not know how good they really are.

the pics look pretty good to me.

the 210s are $500, not too bad for aluminum heads.
