Has anyone here installed fuel pressure and boost gauge in their 1999+ GT? I thinking about getting autometer boost(m) and fuel pressure(e) with lunar lighting, and also get the autometer cluster bezel to put the qauges in. Anyone done this before?? Let me know.

I am curious myself folks! I am sure they are being used but I don't know what brands are being used and which are better for what reasons.

Any help would be appreciated

Love your ride Chad!

What is that "little bitty" thing at the front of your engine on the passenger side?

J/k man

Heya, did the mounts come with the gauges? Or is that a whole piece to replace the stock piece?

Thanks!

Bo

I have autometer ultralite guages (boost/vac to 30 psi & electric fuel pressure guage) in the guage bezel pod. You can get all of these from summitracing.com.

In addition, you'll need to purchase some extra fittings to hook up the fuel pressure guage. You can order the 90* fuel adapter fitting from steeda (see their webpage) or summit (I think its a NOS part).

For the boost guage, you also need a simple t-fitting with some rubber hose to adapt the tee to the tiny plastic line that autometer supplies. I tapped into a vacuum line going to my FMU. The whole installation is pretty simple once you get the parts together. The biggest PITA for me was trying to find the right wire to splice into to make the guage lights dim with the instrument cluster.

This article should give you a pretty good look at the installation. Keep in mind that the newer fuel pressure guages are different (no black box, less wiring), so it should actually be easier than this!

Good luck.

yeah, I used that article when I installed my gauges too. It helped some. BTW, the gauge a-pillar pod did not come with the gauges, but I coughed up some dollars to Tim and he sent it to me.

If you decide on the cluster bezel, you have to cut the posts down on the guages in order to clear the gauge cluster behind them.

Thanks for posting that. I'll definitely be using that when the times comes to install mine.
