fuel pressure....need help quick

Just checked fuel pressure.....is abut 39-40 with vacuum unhooked.......if I start bringinh up the rpm....the fuel pressure starts droping....is this normal or is the regulator going bad..(is stock regulator) Thanks

well plug it back in and rev it up again. should be right around 31ish with that being your pressure with the vac undone. when you rev it up it should jump up depending on how hard you rev it. i dont think you should rev it with it off cause thats kinda defeating the purpose of the regulator
