fuel pressure reg install help

The regulator is not that bad to do. I'm assumin you have a mostly stock setup so I'll try to tell ya all i can.

Pull the intake elbow, disconnect the throttle cable, unplug the tps, iac and egr valve, remove the two coolant hoses from the egr spacer, carefully remove all the vacuum lines going to the upper. remove the "5.0" cover on the intake, then pull the 4 bolts at the front and rear of the upper and the two under the 5.0 cover. Pull the plenum off and lay it off to the side.

If you dont have the fuel line disconnect tools you can either go down to ABC or a local parts store and rent/buy them or you could change the regulator without pulling the fuel lines if you want, just makes it a little difficult. Unplug all eight injectors then there are (4) 8mm bolts that hold the fuel rails to the lower intake, after you pull them out gently pull up on the rails, might be a little stiff but you shouldnt have to use too much force. Once you have the rails up there are 3 bolts that hold the stock regulator to the rail, swapping the regulator is pretty simple. Before you put the rails back in if your keeping the stock injectors look them over to make sure the tips are not all cracked up and it is a good idea to put some silicone or vaseline on the injector o-rings to help them slide back in. As for the gauge, i think BBK & Aeromotive regs have a port for a gauge fitting so you would just tap into that with a fitting (make sure you put some teflon sealant on the threads) and then hook braided line to that. Otherwise you will have to go off of the schraeder valve also using fittings and braided line.
From there installation is reverse. Hope this helps you out. Dont think i'm forgettin anything. Good luck with it
